A Dedication
Written on Monday, July 27, 2009 | back to top

Today's post is dedicated to Mr. Chin Chun Yee...My neighbour in high school for 2 years...Today, he journeys to a new place to gain knowledge and experiences and immerse himself with new cultures...Okay, that's exaggerating it a bit...He's only gone to Singapore to further his education...Nonetheless, I would like to say that the 2 years as your neighbour left me with unique memories...You are a good friend and I'm glad to have met you...I'm truly sorry that I could not make it to your farewell party or send you off at the airport...But you know that my thoughts are with you...Have a safe journey and an exciting learning experience...We will meet up when you get back...take care! =)

P.S. I wanted to put a picture but the only ones I have are in our school uniform which I decided not to post to avoid frightening anyone XD We'll take some nice pictures when u get back =)

Pisces
The best way to deal with minor, yet stubborn, issues concerning certain individuals is to behave as if they've already been resolved. While that is by no means the case, at lest you'll be in the best possible frame of mind to sort them out effectively, especially those that other refuse even to acknowledge.

Sagittarius
You fit as much as you can into every hour of the day. This means you accomplish more than others. But it can also mean that you disappoint those to whom you've made promises. While they've been sympathetic in the past, their feelings were hurt, and you need to make it up to them.

How true...

Semester 2
Written on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 | back to top

I'm having a headache right now..and sort of struggling to keep my eyes open...I'm suppose to be revising the things I learnt today as I have promised to do well this sem...However, my tiredness and headache is keeping me away from my books..

Right now, I feel tired, stressed and have an awful headache. I dont really know what wrong wiht me but I get frequent headaches that range from mild to unbearable...And they usually last for a long period of time...Anyone know what's wrong with me or have any cures for my headaches?I also dont know why i'm still feeling tired after approximately 8 hours sleep last night...Though there have been plenty of irritating mosquitoes in my room bothering me all day especially at night...I cant nap or I wont be able to sleep at night...This will disrupt my whole biological clock and make it even worse...

I'm stressed because of a few reasons...Firstly, my uni textbooks are costing me more than an arm and a leg...Second hand books arent any better..What more, I need them by this week to do my assignments and tutorial homework..It's Wednesday and to date i have only bought one very expensive textbook >< I've only had 2 days of class but I've already got most of my assignments and teaching have started...I'm currently feeling guilty about feeling groggy in law lecture this afternoon and kind missing half of what the lecturer said...Also, lecture notes are driving me crazy...There are 2 sources for us to retrieve our lecture notes...Sometimes the content of these 2 sources differ...I hate going to class without lecture notes as I cant jot down points and all...But if I print the wrong notes, I waste my money and still end up with no notes in lectures == In addition, some lecturers have a habit of uploading notes at the very last minute...Do i look like i live in the computer lab?How am i suppose to retrieve them and print them a the very last minute?oh, I met a primary friend in uni today..she really got prettier..i'm kinda embarrassed it took me awhile to recognise her...What more, she remembered/recognised me and called out my name without hesitation

Another issue on my mind is money...I know most people are as poor as me...But due to my sucky timetable this sem..I spend most of my days eating very-expensive-and-not-so-yummy cafeteria food..Some might suggest I pack food to uni but there's nothing much to eat in my house except bread....Also, been spending lots of money on frisbee related things this year...And having to buy expensive textbooks..I really need money..Those who owe me money, pay me back quick...I need it too...

Lately, there have been a handful of outings...Obviously my mom is not happy about this..and with uni starting again, i dont think i'll be allowed out so often anymore...But i still have Monash Hat, Kuantan Trip and Harry potter pending...I havent been to the movies for sometime..N i want to watch Harry Potter...If i dont do so soon, no one would wait for me anymore...Also, i want to watch New Moon which should be out soon..More money involved..argh..There's also Bryan n Lee Ching's farewell which i most probably cant attend..I'm sorry guyz..I feel bad..Also Guan Huan's farewell that has been postponed...haiz...

Lastly would be my 1st sem results...Some were better than expected and some were a little disappointing...I'm kinda upset that i was very close to high distinction for my accounts and distinction for my business and economic stats...Those were disappointing...Management was better than expected while economics was lucky i guess...Since i heard quite a few failed the unit..Now that that is over, i'm worried about this sem..I have 3 new units and 2 of which have high failure rates...I think I better not think about it..

Oh yea, I have pictures to upload but I'm too lazy to..Will do it during the weekend i think...It's dinner time but i have no appetite...Also, I HATE cooking!

Monash Hat
Written on Monday, July 13, 2009 | back to top

Monash University's Frisbee Club will be organizing it's first Frisbee event called the Monah Hat.
For the newer players, a Hat tournament is one of the best opportunities to improve your game. Personally, I think I've learnt more playing in hat tournaments than in normal team tourneys. In a Hat tourney, you register yourself as individual players, rating yourself on your skills, etc and your name will then be pulled out of a hat into a team. This way, ALL the teams will be pretty much be an even terms. Don't worry if you're new, this is the best way to improve. You get to play with more experienced players and can learn from them. There is no such thing as "I'm not good enough" in a Hat team!

It was the same field where we first met, the same goal post which made me pay attention to you, the same friends that introduced us to each other and the same sport that brought us together....Wat am I talking about? Well, just reminiscing the first time we meet at Inti Nilai for Inti Ultimate Open 2006...Going back there again after so long brought back the memories....Fast forward to the present, Inti-Taylor's Ultimate Open was also held at the same venue yesterday....

A total of 10 teams took part in the tourney which include the usual regulars and also a new team from Monash University...Unfortunately, I played for El Ninos instead of Monash..Sorry David...Well, i'm not going to write how the whole tourney went...Just a summary of the day...By the way, I met Pn. Tai in Inti...Mun Hon says she's teaching there now....

Overall, the tourney was fun...I'm sure we all had a great time..i think the only drawback was there werent enough tents and there was no clear signal for game to begin/end/half-time...On the plus side, the prizes were good, souvenirs were useful and the food was better than some other tourneys...As for El Ninos, it was the last time for this year that we played with this line up....As Wei Jiat says, I'm sure it's not the end and we will play together again as a team with this line up...On the other hand, I think our performance was overall good...It was a little pitiful for us as we ended with 4th placing...But I cant deny that U8 played a great game...So in a nut shell, El Ninos will always be the best team to me...Not in strength wise but in courage, spirit and friendship...So thanks to each and everyone of you....I love you guys!

Expectations
Written on Thursday, July 9, 2009 | back to top

People say that girls marry their fathers and guys, their mothers...If this is true then i think my sisters and I would have an 'interesting' life ahead....

Last Saturday, my parents werent exactly speaking to each other because my dad was very late to take us out to dinner which is our usual family routine on Saturday...so my mom took us without him instead...As w were leaving, my dad come back, but no words were exchanged between my parents..so we just left...

My mom expected my dad to say sorry at least which he didnt...While we were having dinner, she expected him to call and meet up with us, but he didnt...all through dinner, she kept checking her phone and looking around...like my dad would know where we went to eat..though it is one of our regular places...

At last, we went home and all my mother's expectations didnt come through..so for the rest of the night and the next day, they didnt speak...I think i have blogged about expectations many times...I really o understand how my mother felt that day...it's like seeing myself having expectations but being let down when they are not met...and my dad just reminds me of you...

I really cant comprehend why we must have expectations...I personally think we dont need them..Hence we would do better without them...I'm not sure about others but I find myself having a lot of expectations towards you..Is there something wrong with me or is it something natural?More often than not, my expectations always lead me to be let down..When i try not to have any expectations, things somehow turn out better...So, are my expectations reasonable?Or is it just you who is not doing the things you should? How do I learn not to have expectations?I hope I find an answer soon to avoid the frequent feeling of disappointment...

Not Rape
Written on Saturday, July 4, 2009 | back to top

The reason for my blog abandonment is the lack of activity and excitement in my life. Right now, I dun really have a life as my holidays have been filled by lazing around at home..It is already July, holidays will be ending soon...

I'm sure my post title caught your attention, the not rape i am talking about here refers to sexual harassment. I'm sure you can read all about it in the net, but there's a link to a very touching and powerful issue on the subject...If it seems long just skip the comments but i hope everyone regardless of gender will read it...
